Updated Terms of Service

Introduction

Welcome to Happy Walks Pet Sitting! By using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

Services Provided

Happy Walks Pet Sitting offers a range of services, including:

• Dog walks (private and group) with GPS reports showing the route, distance, and total visit time.
• In-home pet visits for dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, and other small animals.
• Vacation pet sitting (in your home) for dogs and cats.
• Poop scooping services starting at $25 weekly.
• Regular ongoing cat care starting at $140/week.
• Litter box service: Dump litter, wash/dry box, and add new litter for an additional $16.

Booking and Payment

• A 50% nonrefundable booking fee of the total service amount is required to request Pet Sitting.
• The remaining 50% is due two weeks prior to the start of service.
• For clients requiring key access to their home, we maintain a 2-key policy (two keys must be provided).
• A $30 key pick-up fee applies if we need to pick up keys.
• All payments are due as specified, and failure to complete payment may result in service cancellation.

Cancellation Policy

• The initial 50% booking fee is nonrefundable.
• Cancellations made within two weeks of the scheduled service start date are nonrefundable.
• If a service is canceled by Happy Walks Pet Sitting due to unforeseen circumstances, any pre-paid amounts will be refunded.

Pet Safety and Health

• Clients must disclose any health or behavioral issues their pets may have.
• Happy Walks Pet Sitting is not responsible for any illness or injury that may occur to a pet with pre-existing conditions.
• Pets must be up-to-date on required vaccinations and be free of parasites.

Liability

• Happy Walks Pet Sitting is insured and bonded for your peace of mind.
• While we take the utmost care with your pets and property, we are not liable for damages caused by pets themselves (e.g., chewing, accidents).
• We are not responsible for any pets left outdoors without supervision or for those with access to unsafe areas.

Emergency Care

• In case of a pet emergency, we will make every effort to contact you.
• If we are unable to reach you, we will seek veterinary care at your expense.
• You authorize Happy Walks Pet Sitting to act in the best interest of your pet in an emergency.

Photo and Social Media

• We may take photos of your pets during our visits for updates and social media (without identifying details).
• If you prefer not to have your pet’s photo used on social media, please notify us in writing.

Client Responsibilities

• Ensure your pet has access to sufficient food, water, and any necessary medications.
• Inform us of any changes in pet care routines or home access instructions.
• Provide clear instructions for home security (alarm codes, door locks).

Changes to Terms

• Happy Walks Pet Sitting reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes.
